Editorial Standards
How we report, review, correct and keep advertising separate from our guides.
Accuracy and sourcing
Every factual claim in a Rooftop Daily guide is backed by a source we link in the text or list at the end. We prefer government, academic and standards-body sources, then established industry sources, and we say who published a survey or cost figure and when. When reliable data doesn’t exist, we say so instead of guessing.
Expert review
Guides about insurance, lending, roofing, electrical and gas work, and anything structural are reviewed by a person with the matching license or experience before they’re published. Their name, credential and review date appear on the guide.
Examples and scenarios
Guides are published by the Rooftop Daily editorial team, not under individual bylines. Many open with a short example of how a problem tends to show up in a house. These are illustrative scenarios, written to be typical, not accounts of a specific person or home. We don’t present invented stories or quotes as real.
Updates and corrections
Every guide shows the date it was last updated. We review cost guides and money topics at least once a year. When we fix an error, we note the correction at the bottom of the page. To report a problem, email privacy@rooftopdaily.com.
Our use of AI
We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. An editor revises and fact-checks, an expert reviews where required, and an editor approves every guide before it goes live. Nothing is published that a person hasn’t read, checked and signed off on.
Independence
Our editors decide what we cover and what we say. Advertisers and partners don’t review or approve our guides. See how we make money.
